Cafeteros de Antioquia es uno de los nuevos equipos que hará vida en la Liga Profesional de Baloncesto de Colombia y tendrá sello venezolano. La parte gerencial será llevada por dos criollos, Alberto Díaz y Daniel Domínguez. La incógnita es Greivis Vásquez, el NBA tiene participación en quipo y amagó con uniformarse.
Vásquez luce como uno de los accionistas del equipo, aunque oficialmente no ha salido a la luz. Sin embargo, sus últimas publicaciones en redes sociales giran en torno al conjunto cafetero. Además en su momento colocó una imagen con un uniforme de Cafeteros en el que lucía su apellido y su característico dorsal 21.

Alberto Díaz fue nombrado hace meses como el Director Deportivo del conjunto Cafeteros. El otrora gerente de Bucaneros de La Guaira y Obras Basket en Argentina tiene una nueva oportunidad dentro de la disciplina. Llegó a una final en Venezuela y ahora trascender en el baloncesto colombiano.
Díaz estuvo también en la selección nacional de Venezuela cuando Eric Musselman fue técnico del equipo y una de las últimas veces que Greivis Vásquez vistió la camiseta del combinado patrio.
Otro que está dentro del organigrama de Cafeteros es Daniel Domínguez, primo de Vásquez y uno de sus más fieles soldados. Domínguez fue parte fugaz de la FVB y ahora en Cafeteros fungirá como General Manager.
Estos serán los venezolanos que liderarán desde la oficina a Cafeteros en Colombia y que buscan trascender con un conjunto novel dentro del baloncesto y borrar estigmas del pasado tras el paso tortuoso dentro del baloncesto venezolano a nivel gerencial y federativo.
