Una tercera semana buena para algunos y terrible para otros en la LVBP

Para la altura en la que va el calendario de la temporada 2020/21 en la Liga Venezolana de Beisbol (LVBP), hay un esquema bien claro. Sin embargo, lo que no se sabe es: ¿qué equipo luce como el firme campeón? Todos apostaban a Cardenales de Lara -cuando inició la campaña-, pero Caribes de Anzoátegui lucía como el principal rival. Ahora, las cosas se tornan interesantes por cómo han salido a flote los Navegantes del Magallanes.

Los turcos aprovecharon las desdichas de sus más cercanos rivales (Cardenales), para montarse en la cima de la División Occidental y compartirla con los larenses. Magallanes refleja récord de 6-4 en los últimos 10 encuentros. ¿Por qué se aprovecharon del mal momento de Cardenales? Pues los crepusculares terminaron por primera vez una semana negativa al ganar tres duelos y perder cuatro.

Los filibusteros se encomendaron en los batazos del importado cubano Jorge Luis Peña, quien soltó jonrón en su segundo compromiso en la LVBP. Erick Leal silenció los bates de Tiburones de La Guaira el domingo. También mostraron un rendimiento idóneo con los extrabases. Tan solo Engelb Vielma disparó tres biangulares en la misma contienda del segundo duelo de doble cartelera en la jornada dominical.

Este cambio de escenario, coloca a la nave, en una nueva posición de las proyecciones. Aunque Caribes tiene el mejor récord de todo el campeonato (11-5). Navegantes mete sus cofres para elevar las apuestas.

Hernán Pérez el más destacado de la Tercera Semana

Desde que realizó su debut en la zafra, Tigres de Aragua dejó bien en claro, que Hernán Pérez sería todo lo que necesitaba la ofensiva felina.

El utility Hernán Pérez bateó a placer durante la tercera semana de campeonato y fue galardonado con el premio al Jugador de la Semana por la LVBP. La Guaira y el Zulia en más problemas que felicidades

La situación con Tiburones de La Guaira había tomado otro sentido en el transcurso de la tercera semana de la LVBP. Lograron conquistar tres duelos en fila. Sin embargo, el domingo volvieron a la realidad con dos derrotas sufridas en la doble cartelera ante Navegantes.

Los escualos registran el peo registro de la liga con 4-11. Si quieren estar en la fiesta de enero, deben hacer los ajustes hasta esta semana, que aún es “temprano”. El problema es que contaban con la incorporación del grandeliga Ehire Adrianza, pero eso no será posible.

Ahora, en términos del fondo de una División, aparecen las Águilas del Zulia, pues no terminan de conseguir la formula de las victorias. Fueron barridos por Caribes de Anzoátegui. Presentan récord de 5-10 y aunque, completaron finalmente la importación con el lanzador dominicano Cecilio Pimentel. No parece haber mucho brillo en el horizonte.

La pieza que podría otorgarle el empujón para volar finalmente, sería la incorporación de Rougned Odor. Pero al no tener nada resuelto con los tramites de viaje, el grandeliga es aún una incógnita en el trabajo de Rouglas Odor.

Lo bueno, es que Alexander Romero cumplió sus juegos de suspensión desde enero y, podrá ayudar a los rapaces desde ya. El veterano jugador de 37 años de edad está en su vigésima temporada y debutó en el segundo duelo de la doble cartelera de Águilas contra Caribes. En cuatro turnos se fue en blanco. Pero es un bateador que obviamente le cae muy bien a cualquier equipo, pues sus 883 indiscutibles de por vida, lo hacen un toletero de talla alta.
