DeShaun Watson, que apuntaba a ser una de las principales figuras del mercado de cambio de la NFL para la venidera campaña, podría quedarse incluso fuera de la liga si los alegatos en su contra son demostrados.
Según se conoce desde comienzos de año, un total de 21 mujeres han puesto demandas civiles sobre el quarterback. Lo acusan de asalto sexual y conducta inapropiada durante sesiones de masajes .
Esta situación deja a DeShaun Watson en una posición muy difícil de cara al futuro. Lo que prometía ser una brillante carrera sobre los emparrillados, podría terminar con una lamentable historia detrás de las rejas.
Ya la policía de Houston se encuentra sobre el caso. Además, la NFL abrió, como es costumbre, una investigación paralela que le permita aclarar si Watson violó alguna de las normas que impone el código de conducta de la liga.

Desde que terminó la temporada anterior, los ánimos entre el pasador y la organización están muy caldeados. Era casi probable que cambiara de equipo por alguna primera escogencia en el draft, como mínimo.
Por su parte, el abogado de Watson, Rusty Hardin, comentó en varias ocasiones que las pruebas en contra del jugador no existen y que tienen varios testigos, mujeres, que avalan la buena conducta y decencia del mismo hacia ellas.
En cuatro años en la NFL, DeShaun Watson, primera escogencia de los Texans en el Draft de 2017, lo llamaron en tres ocasiones al Pro-Bowl. La campaña pasada, aunque dejó marca de 4-12, resultó líder del circuito en yardas aéreas lanzadas (4.823).
Watson además es conocido por su capacidad de correr con el ovoide. Superó las 400 yardas por tierra y anotó al menos tres touchdowns terrestres en las últimas tres campaña.
Sin duda, DeShaun Watson es un gran talento que podría desperdiciarse en las próximas semanas. Todo debido a estos problemas de conducta que pocas veces se entiendes y que son totalmente reprochables e inaceptables.
