Este viernes 18 de septiembre se dio un paso más para la reactivación del fútbol venezolano. La Liga FutVe, en conjunto con la Federación Venezolana de Fútbol (FVF) y los 17 equipos que accedieron a participar, llevaron a cabo el sorteo de dos grupos con sedes en Valencia y Barinas respectivamente.
El Grupo A contará con la participación de Estudiantes de Mérida; Deportivo Lara; Mineros de Guayana; Deportivo La Guaira; Atlético Venezuela; Trujillanos FC y Yaracuyanos FC, además de los equipos sede Carabobo y Academia Puerto Cabello.
Asimismo, el Grupo B contará con un equipo menos (ocho): Caracas FC; Monagas SC; Deportivo Táchira; Metropolitanos FC; Aragua FC; Portuguesa FC; GV Maracay y el club sede, Zamora FC. Recordemos que ni Zulia FC y tampoco Lala FC competirán.
Formato del torneo
El sorteo fue realizado por una videollamada, pero todavía se desconoce el calendario que tendrán los equipos. Hay que tomar en cuenta que la realización de este torneo tiene como objetivo principal la disputa de los cupos internacionales para la Copa Libertadores y Copa Sudamericana 2021.
Venezuela cuenta con cuatro cupos para cada una de las competiciones, por ende los equipos que estén ubicados en las primeras cuatro posiciones de su respectivo grupo, escribirán su nombre en alguna de estas de la siguiente forma:
- Pos. 1: cupo directo a la Fase de Grupos de Copa Libertadores
- Pos. 2: Fases previas de la Copa Libertadores.
- Pos. 3 y 4: Fase 1 Copa Sudamericana
Cada equipo afrontará el calendario con el formato de todos contra todos y con partidos de ida y vuelta. Es decir, el Grupo A contará con 16 compromisos y en el Grupo B serán 14. Posteriormente, con el fin de elegir el orden de los equipos que clasifiquen internacionalmente, los líderes de cada grupo jugarán para definir al campeón.
Así, de igual forma se hará con los segundos, terceros y cuartos lugares. Esta será la manera de identificar los respectivos representantes para la Copa Libertadores y Copa Sudamericana: Venezuela 1, Venezuela 2, Venezuela 3 y Venezuela 4.
Cabe acotar que anteriormente, uno de los cupos a Sudamericana era otorgado al campeón de la Copa Venezuela, no obstante dicho certamen fue suspendido con anterioridad, incluso antes de la pandemia.
Sin fechas confirmadas, pero con sedes
Actualmente son muchos los rumores referentes a cuándo iniciará el torneo, pero pareciera ser que el arranque se dará a mediados del próximo mes de octubre, específicamente entre los días 15 y 16.
Sin embargo, uno de los datos que sí se dio a conocer es que las ciudades de Valencia y Barinas son las dos utilizadas para llevar a cabo el certamen, como se anunció más arriba. El estado Carabobo había sido opción desde hace meses atrás, debido a que era una de las entidades con menor número de casos de covid-19.
Asimismo, la ubicación de Barinas era ideal en caso de que se distribuyera a los clubes participantes en zonas. No obstante, ya conocida el modo en que este fue realizado, llama la atención que Caracas no haya sido tomado en cuenta. Vale acotar que el próximo miércoles 23, se jugará en el estadio Olímpico de la UCV, el cotejo entre Caracas FC y Libertad de Paraguay por Copa Libertadores.
Por otra parte, Mérida que también está siendo utilizada actualmente como sede para el certamen continental, es una de las opciones para disputar la segunda división del fútbol venezolano, según se conoció en un comunicado.
