El Caracas FC cayó goleado por 3-0 ante Boca Juniors en el cierre de la Fase de Grupos de la Copa Libertadores. El estadio La Bombonera despidió la participación del cuadro rojo en el certamen, donde cerró como tercero del Grupo G, a sólo un gol de meterse a los octavos de final.
Aun así estará en la Fase 2 de la Copa Sudamericana, que se disputará en los próximos días. Todavía no conoce su rival y estará acompañando a Estudiantes de Mérida en el Bombo 1 del sorteo. Según las declaraciones del estratega Noel Sanvicente, el objetivo parece estar cumplido.

Caracas FC tuvo la oportunidad para irse arriba en el marcador en la fracción 14, cuando el árbitro pitó un penal producto de una mano cometida por Julio Buffarini. Sin embargo Robert Hernández no pudo cambiarlo por un gol. Diez minutos más tarde los locales, gracias a Lisandro López, pusieron el primero en la cuenta.
Posteriormente, Carlos Tévez marcó doblete al 33 y 44 respectivamente en par de jugadas donde Boca Juniors superó con facilidad la zaga criolla, que tenía par de bajas en comparación con el partido anterior debido a las expulsiones de Eduardo Fereira y Sandro Notaroberto.

Sin embargo, el inicio del torneo local el próximo domingo y la posibilidad de jugar tantos partidos de forma seguida en poco tiempo, podría jugar en contra del Caracas FC. «Las dos son importantes para nosotros. Dependiendo cómo se vayan dando las cosas, tiramos para un lado o para otro», aseguró Chita.
Proyecto del Caracas FC: Los Juveniles
Los Rojos del Ávila han sido un equipo que se ha caracterizado por tener un buen proyecto en sus canteras. Incluso dándole oportunidades en partidos determinantes e incluyéndolos en los planes del club, temporada tras temporada. Para el certamen continental no fue distinto.
En esta edición de la Copa Libertadores, Noel Sanvicente y su cuerpo técnico utilizaron al menos siete futbolistas que oscilaban entre 17 y 20 años de edad. Varios de ellos como titulares. En el encuentro ante Boca Juniors, debutó Luis Casiani, siendo estos sus minutos en el certamen.
«Si estamos en un proyecto, creo que a los jugadores jóvenes tienes que darle oportunidad, sino ¿cómo crecen? A Casiani, en algunos minutos lo superaron defensivamente, pero creo que no tuvo mal partido. Fueron sus primeros minutos en Copa Libertadores. Si no tiene el titular de 20 años, tienes a uno de 18».
Pelota parada: un punto fuerte de Sanvicente
Caracas FC recibió un total de doce goles y anotó otros ocho. Dos menos que el líder del Grupo H, Boca Juniors quien recibió sólo un tanto en la Fase de Grupos, siendo este realizado por Robert Hernández con un magnífico cobro de tiro libre en el estadio Olímpico de la UCV.
Aunque la cantidad de goles en contra puede ser preocupante, hay algo en común en las anotaciones del equipo capitalino: la pelota parada. Dos tantos llegaron por ejecución de una falta directa (Hernández vs Boca Juniors y Contreras vs DIM) y otros dos producto de asistencias en tiro de esquina o faltas (Blanco vs Libertad y DIM).
Esto se traduce en que un 50% de los goles del Caracas FC provienen desde las estrategias a pelota parada. Todo sin contar el penal convertido por Jorge Echeverría ante el club paraguayo en la fecha 4. Gracias a los buenos cobradores y jugadores con pegada que tienen los rojos, esta arma ha sido tan importante.
Resultó rentable la participación
En estos tiempos tan complicados económicamente, cualquier ingreso de dinero resulta favorable. Caracas FC, tanto con su participación en la Fase de Grupos de Libertadores como en la venidera Fase 2 de Copa Sudamericana, estaría asegurando $3.375.000.
Esta cifra también aplica para Estudiantes de Mérida y tendría que sumarse otros $500.000, en caso de que ambos alcancen a clasificar a la siguiente fase de octavos de final.
