Serie Hípica del Caribe, sinsabores de principio a fin

La Serie Hípica del Caribe 2021 disputada en el Hipódromo Camarero en Puerto Rico, resultó una verdadera tragedia para la delegación venezolana desde su llegada, hasta las carreras.

Fueron momentos difíciles que comenzaron en la cuarentena con la herida que sufrió el caballo Valrazio que no fue atendida adecuadamente, el mal herraje de El de Froix, el susto de Persecuted que la bulla musical que le provocó su retiro del Caribe, entre otras consternaciones.

Igualmente, el no cumplimiento del horario de las carreras, especialmente del Clásico del Caribe que se corrió con casi una hora de retraso, perjudicando, presumiblemente; la salud de los ejemplares que fueron tratados para un mejor rendimiento.

Evidencias de malestares

“Lamentablemente después de un show musical los aplausos del público provocaron que mi presentado Persecuted golpeara su caminador y se soltara en la pista de @camareropr provocando su retiro!!! “@ConfCaribe más respeto por el caballo por favor”, dijo el entrenador Barboza.

Por su parte, el criador Orlando Martínez, del Haras La Orlyana donde nació Persecuted, también protestó.

“Es una situación realmente frustrante. Hemos ganado y perdido, de eso se trata la vida, pero siempre en buena lid. ¡Así no! Un abrazo a los nuestros que con gallardía dieron la cara ante un escenario tan hostil”, soltó.

Además, el entrenador Ramón García del caballo José Enrique fue tajante tras expresarse de lo sucedido en Camarero.

“Increíble todo lo vivido en este hipódromo”, dijo tras presentar su ejemplar hemorragia pulmonar con el suministro del lassix cinco horas antes de la carrera.

Aprender de las tempestades

Indudablemente, que esta Serie Hípica del Caribe es para cultivarse de los problemas que vivió toda la delegación venezolana.

Las cuarentenas en estos eventos han sido duras tanto para los ejemplares como para el personal.

En este sentido, apoyamos en gran parte la reflexión que hizo el entrenador Juan Carlos Ávila ante las derrotas de los purasangres venezolanos. Ganó el Clásico del Caribe de 2014 con Ninfa del Cielo.

“He pasado desde lo sublime a lo ridículo en este evento, a veces luego de los fracasos pensamos más nunca volver, pero al final soñamos con la ilusión de un nuevo chance, una revancha. Aprender de los errores sin culpar a nadie que la vaina es un día para uno y otro para el otro”.

La Serie Hípica del Caribe 2022 será en Venezuela, en el Hipódromo La Rinconada. Vamos a organizar el gran evento al estilo de 2014.

Será la revancha deportiva y con mucho respeto. Recibamos al resto de las delegaciones para competir en buena lid.

Un gran amigo me dijo en una ocasión: “Dejar de luchar es comenzar a morir, no te rindas”.
