Comité Paralimpico Brasileño exige respeto

El Comité Paralimpico Brasileño (CPB), así como diferentes entidades del país, expresaron su más grande repudio en contra de una dupla de humoristas brasileños, Abner Henrique y Dihn Lopes; quienes está semana hicieron público, en sus redes sociales, parte de sus presentaciones donde hacian burla de las personas con deficiencia. La acción fue catalogada de ofensiva, ultrajante y deshumana.

En sus videos, los humoristas se burlaron de personas con miembros amputados, autistas, personas con Síndrome de Down y niños con cáncer; ellos, al final, se excusaron con la comedia. Sin embargo, esta es una actitud aborrecida por la mayoría de la sociedad.

Durante años, miles de organizaciones han estado en lucha por los derechos de las personas con algún tipo de discapacidad; quienes constantemente son objeto de burla por aquellos, que en su desconocimiento, toman todo como un chiste y un motivo para reír.

Indignación

«El contenido de las redes sociales no sólo nos encoleriza, también nos entristece; debido a que es un comportamiento discriminatorio, absolutamente inconcebible, que todavía cuenta con aplausos del público que tiene el desprivilegio de asistir a esos shows de horrores, promovidos por esta triste dupla», declaró Mizael Conrado de Oliveira, presidente del CPB.

Que se haga justicia

Según la ley brasileña, la dupla de comediantes incurrió en un crimen llamado Capacitismo, plasmado en la ley de inclusión brasileña, conocida en el país como «Estatuto de personas con deficiencia».

Asimismo, de ser hallados culpables, Abner y Dihn podrían pagar una condena de uno a tres años de cárcel. Sin embargo, la reclusión podría aumentar, dependiendo de cómo se haya llevado a cabo el crimen; además de estar obligados a pagar una multa establecida por el Estado.

La ley brasileña define el Capacitismo como: aquel individuo que hace algo de forma preconceptuosa y discriminatoria contra personas con deficiencia.

De acuerdo a lo anunciado el pasado jueves 9 de abril, el Comité Paralimpico Brasileño notificó al Ministerio Público Estatal que tomaran acciones contra los comediantes; exigieron que se aplicaran todas las medidas de la ley, por incurrir en los delitos de comentarios hostiles y discriminatorios.
